Offline billing

Offline POS that keeps billing when the internet drops

TM POS is a point-of-sale system whose checkout keeps working without internet. The product list and payment methods are saved on the cashier's device, so scanning and billing continue offline. Sales made offline wait in a queue on that device and sync to your account automatically when the connection returns, each one only once.

What still works when the internet goes down?

The checkout. Cashiers keep scanning, billing and taking payment.

  • Scan or search products from the catalogue saved on the device
  • Complete sales with the saved payment methods
  • A bar shows that you are offline and when the catalogue was saved
  • It also shows how many sales are waiting to sync

How do offline sales sync?

Automatically. When the device is back online, TM POS sends the queued sales to your account.

  • It keeps trying every 30 seconds until the queue is empty
  • Each sale carries its own reference, so a retry never creates a duplicate
  • Each sale keeps the time it was made, so reports show the right day
  • A sale that cannot be synced is flagged so you can review it

What needs an internet connection?

Open the checkout online at least once so the catalogue is saved on the device; it refreshes whenever you are online. Products added since then, and barcodes not in the saved catalogue, cannot be sold until the device reconnects. Reports, the khata, purchasing and settings need a connection.

Which devices and printers work?

TM POS runs in Chrome or Edge, or as a desktop app on Windows and macOS.

  • Standard USB barcode scanners, or the camera on a phone or laptop
  • USB thermal (ESC/POS) receipt printers
  • Zebra and other ZPL label printers for barcode labels

Which plan includes this?

Offline billing is included in every plan, including Starter.

Questions

Questions shop owners ask

Will I lose sales if the internet is down all day?

No. Sales stay saved on that device until they sync. Do not clear the browser's site data on that device until the queue shows nothing waiting.

Can two counters sell offline at the same time?

Yes. Each counter keeps its own queue and sends its own sales when it reconnects.

Does offline billing cost extra?

No. It is part of every plan.
